2012 is already shaping up to be a Chaotic year for me. I just finished an assignment for the State of Utah, so at least I'm home for a while, which is a good thing.
I turned in the manuscript for my second book, Circle of Fire, and signed the contract with the publisher. It should be in print in about 3 months. My third book, Through the Darkness, is about half done, and will come out in early 2013.
I've decided that I'm going to write a fact/picture book about skyparks in the west. The primary reason for this is that I'd like to buy such a book, but apparently, it doesn't exist. So, I'll have to create it! It's as good an excuse as any to fly around to a bunch of cool places. Makes the trips tax deductible, too.
Still, none of this is going to pay the mortgage, so I have to get a "real" job in the not too distant future.
I'm supporting Romney again this year, as I did in 2008. I think Newt would make a fine president as well, but that's just not an option on the menu. He can be nominated, but not elected.
I was planning to go flying today, but the weather is crummier than forecast, so perhaps not.
